How to edit APN! What is strange is that you can have both of them connected at the same time. Similarly, GPS interface is started by ifup gps and turned off by ifdown gps.
But as you can see from the image attached, I am actually connected to the GSM network… http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/1789/sewm.png Anyone had this problem and/or know how to solve it? We are in process of testing our changes to DNE to support this new interface and expect to have something available towards the end of the quarter or beginning of Q2." Instead of "proxy" you may need to use to something else. Won't mind if the GPS is disabled.

Does it work if you create a manual profile in Wireless Manager with the correct settings for your operator? Sam-2 March 17, 2010 at 7:39 pm Hi, The new driver works on my Lenovo T400 and I don't use access connections. Lenovos’s network manager tool is called Access Connections and I would later discover my intuition would prove to be well founded. In win7 connection manager, it 's in the same problem like WIRELESSS MANAGER In manual profile, I set the following: - Sim: no change - Radio: automatic - Profile: + APN:
It constantly forgets your customised APN settings. Haven't figured out why, nor a workaround. The issue is caused by the SIM card Driver that comes in the original driver package !!! Now broadband connection could be started in the same way as you start any other network interface, just by saying ifup usb0 (or ifup 3G, if connecting via pppd).
To disconnect, send AT*ENAP=0 to /dev/ttyACM1. For my provider, Dodo, I had to untick the “Let Wireless Manager Choose the Connection Profile” and then I created a new profile, and put the Access Point Name (APN) in Append the following line to /etc/sysfs.conf devices/platform/thinkpad_acpi/rfkill/rfkill0/state = 0 It will power down the card on boot, but when the laptop wakes from sleep, in some cases the card is powered Now the card can be turned on by sending AT+CFUN=1 to /dev/ttyACM1.
Be carefull with the last command.
