Maudie Foresman November 12, 2011 at 4:06 pm Outstanding job once again. It integrates with Windows differently to a dialup modem. Thinkpad R40 2722-bdg, p-m 1.7, 2gb, 80gb HDD, Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 x86 + ubuntu 10.10. Authentication failed upon installation of any package because it is not IBM/Dell/Acer etc. look at this web-site
I use SuperOrca msi editor to remove the authentication check and it works perfect. Anyway, there is a project aiming to document all AT-commands for the Ericsson F3507g card. I have not got this to work so far but I am hoping that’s because I have no GPS signal indoors.
- Bipin Gherwada November 26, 2013 at 10:11 pm I have 3G window taplet pc in that tablet ericssion AB mobile broadbanddevice installed but unfortunetly the detail of device has been erased
- Really appreciate your help.
- There are only a couple of negatives I have discovered so far: Using Wireless Manager it was possible to force the connection to only use HSDPA etc.
- Not the easiest thing to find but its located in Phone and Modem –> Properties –>Advanced dialog.
- Now my problem is that the wireless lan managers still seem not to recognize the wwan card.
- Second time trying to connect, it simply works like a charm.
- The new driver actually gets the broadband card to show up as… (drum roll)… a Mobile Broadband Connection!
- Be carefull with the last command.

For example, to connect to AT&T Wireless network, your /etc/wvdial.conf would have to be something like this [Dialer 3G] Modem = /dev/ttyACM0 Init1 = AT+CGDCONT=1,"IP","proxy" Stupid mode = 1 phone= *99# I am not really familiar with your Ericsson modem but I imagine it uses a SIM card (most broadband modems do).
No, create an account now. Taking this out and extracting it with Universal Extractor for .msi installation files, you get a series of folders with drivers - depending on your platform x86 or x64. Append the following lines to your /etc/network/interfaces file iface F3507g inet manual up . /usr/local/etc/F3507g; powerup_F3507g down . /usr/local/etc/F3507g; powerdown_F3507g iface 3G inet wvdial pre-up ifup F3507g post-down . /usr/local/etc/F3507g; turnoff_F3507g http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Ericsson_F3507g_Mobile_Broadband_Module I recently joined this forum, because I saw this post: http://forum.tabletpcreview.com/showthread.php?t=28646 My problem is pretty simple (not sure where to post it though).
Note: Information and comments on this article could still be relevant to you so read on… I recently purchased a Lenovo Thinkpad T400s. If even Linux can't find the device it's definitely broken and needs to be replaced. Realized I'd might have to set up the APN, which was easily done by right clicking the connection, and typing in the APN for the company. IIRC the correct order is listed below.
For instance, when I am connected, it ALWAYS seems to display UMTS as the connection type, even though I know I am on HSDPA. http://forum.tabletpcreview.com/threads/using-ericsson-f3507g-mobile-broadband-module-with-dell-studio-xps-1645.32184/ For a bug as huge as that to be released into the public, no matter what label you give it, is a sign of a rotten development process. If instead of /dev/ttyACM* you see /dev/ttyUSB*, it means that option module is loaded. To physically reset the card flip the wireless switch off, and then on.
You might be able to fix your problem by uninstalling the following and reinstalling in the correct order. http://wpeasyposttypes.com/ericsson-f3507g/ericsson-f3507g-mobile-broadband-minicard-driver-xp.php Nowhere does it mention that the F3507g card is supported, but I can confirm it does work using version 5.2.2056.12. Network Connections Looks also good but i cannot see a Broadband Connection in the Network Lsit. Create a file called /usr/local/etc/F3507g containing the following: USB_ID="0bdb:1900" PIN="" APN="proxy" GPSDPID="/var/run/gpsd.pid" RFKILL_DEVICE=$(for n in /sys/devices/platform/thinkpad_acpi/rfkill/rfkill*; do if [ "$(cat $n/name)" = "tpacpi_wwan_sw" ]; then echo $n/state; fi; done) CONTROL_DEVICE ()

I have a Dell Studio XPS 1645 (x64, i7-core, and a lot of nice junk). news But you still can change the the behavior of the NMEA stream by sending the appropriate AT*E2GPSCTL=X,Y,Z to /dev/ttyACM1.
Connecting to the net via CDC Ethernet interface The second approach works for kernels >=220.127.116.11. Re: Erricsson f3507g mobile broadband issues Quote #2 Post by bill bolton » Thu Jan 20, 2011 4:45 pm K-a-M-u-Z-u wrote:I cant get it to work properly.... I dont know why.
The answer should be +PACSP0 Don't try to do anything until you see it.
Kind of. Of course, you always need to install branded software to switch the module on or off: as far as i know, windows uses the module, but does not control it out All you ever wanted to know about Tablet PC's Tablet PC Repository (thanks to sudermatt) dynamic list containing useful tablet PC stuff, feel free to extent it Frank, Apr 20, 2010 The problem is it will then ask you for a Dial-up phone number, and various other fields wholly inappropriate for a 3G WWAN card.
Now, if your wireless provider lets you in, you are connected. Cheers, Bill B. Now the card can be turned on by sending AT+CFUN=1 to /dev/ttyACM1. More about the author To use it, simply download wwan-helper: git clone https://github.com/vog/wwan-helper.git /etc/wwan-helper and configure your APN and PIN in /etc/wwan-helper/config: APN=web.vodafone.de PIN=1234 Finally, add wwan-helper to the pre-up and post-down hooks: ln -s
