I don't have a computer in front of me now, but could you go through the scanner settings to see if it can be reset somehow. Or in case do it manually. Which scanner are you using? I HAVE been able to use the "Image Capture" and "Image Acquire" software with no apparent issue with the twain driver supplied by Mustek. I have a Canon LiDE 80 that hasn't worked since Apple stopped supporting PowerPC drivers. Surely there is a fix.
