I downloaded the olds drivers for Lion on Canon website. found your website today. I ran the uninstaller and things worked again (thankfully). Anybody else seeing this? https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2543549?tstart=0
Epson Scanner Drivers
Any suggestions or workarounds would be appreciated!!! Tried installing Canon Toolbox, it allowed me to do settings ONCE and then would not work. I then discovered the Canon ICA driver and installed that which worked. Mount the disk image and double-click it to open it.

Following up on Rob's comment, I also installed this on the public beta of Yosemite and was able to install my scanner (CanoScan 4400F) in system preferences afterwards. I see they also have an ICA driver ver 3.3.4, did this not work for you? I scannned with no problem, tried every option, all was fine. Some other weird message about a "copy in progress" came up until restarting which caused it to work. Please note that your scanner will not show up in the list of installed equipment witth any icon.
